In the summer of 2024, Lakeside Heritage Society graciously accepted a special donor gift given specifically to create a mural on the back wall of the Heritage Archives.
The idea for the mural came from a Lakeside postcard sent from a young camper to her parents in the 1940s. The water’s edge depicted on the left side represents the east side of the Lakeside Chautauqua waterfront as it was many decades ago. Moving to the right side brings in elements of more modern day Lakeside. The past and present are once again represented in the individual letters.
Beth Sage of Sagebrush Artistry was contracted to design and paint the mural.
