About LHS
The Lakeside Heritage Society (LHS) is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history of Lakeside, Danbury Township, the Village of Marblehead and the Historic Chautauqua Movement in North America.
Founded in 1968 as the Lakeside Heritage Club, LHS operates the Heritage Hall Museum and Archives and provides various educational programs to the surrounding community.
Mission:
To preserve, promote and advance
the history of Lakeside,
the Marblehead Peninsula
and the Chautauqua Movement
in America,
and to become a premier public resource for that history.
