HERITAGE ARCHIVES
The Lakeside Heritage Archives, located behind Heritage Hall Museum at 324 West Third Street, contains valuable historical documents related to Lakeside's past. Hundreds of photographs and books in the Archive's collection help the history buff understand the development of Lakeside and the Marblehead Peninsula.
Archive Hours
Sunday and Monday: Closed
Tuesday - Saturday: 9am - Noon (June through August) or by appointment
Friday and Saturday during the months of May and September
Saturday only October through April

The Lakeside Heritage Society Archives contains research materials for Lakeside, Danbury Township, Marblehead and the Peninsula, and the Chautauquas in the United States. Collections include the following:
- Lakeside season programs, newspapers and other publications
- Records of Lakeside clubs and societies
- Over 9,000 photographs, postcards, slides, and other visual forms
- Lakeside property owner transfer records from 1873 to 2009
- Cottage histories, including a photograph of each building
- Methodist conference bulletins
- Lakeside Association historical files
- Index of performers and speakers, with dates and talent
- Oral histories, family portfolios, diaries, and scrapbooks
- Boats of Lakeside
- Biography Index
- Lakeside Heritage Manifest since 1990
- Subject and year clippings files for Lakeside and the area
- Hymnals; Sunday school books; revival, temperance, and campmeeting song books, both English and German
- Lakeside Volunteer Fire Department materials
- Ronald Stuckey collection, specializing in the Lakeside Daisy and Lake Erie - Dr. Stuckey is Professor Emeritus of Botany of The Ohio State University
- Maps of Lakeside and the area
- Local newspapers, both paper and microfilm
- Obituary Index, compiled from newspapers and conference journals
- Directory of Lakeside and area businesses and concessions, dating from the 1870s
- Preservation and remodeling books, including materials received through a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Resources
- David Glick collection of American independent Chautauquas information
- Genealogical materials published by the Ottawa County Genealogical Society
- Library of books pertaining to the above topics
All materials are available for use only in the Archives. Copying resources are available. The Archives is the only research facility on the Marblehead Peninsula. We invite all to visit the Archives, use our materials, and share your reminiscences with us.

Memorial Brick Pavers
Join us in honoring our forebears and celebrating our own heritage at Lakeside by purchasing a brick paver. These pavers will be engraved as you indicate on the order form and will be placed around the front entrance and south side of Heritage Hall, which serves as the Lakeside Heritage Museum.
First brick is $125 and each additional brick is $85. Orders may also be placed at the Museum or Archives during normal business hours.
